Rules:

HOW: Each participant may submit one photograph in total. All images must be digitally uploaded.

WHEN: Start Date: May 14 at 2:00 PM, PST End Date: July 15, at 2:00 PM PST. We’re not responsible for errors that may terminate the contest early so enter soon.

You can upload your images at the contest page http://www.flickr.com/groups/anpw/.

WHAT: Prize package is described below and for the first section, the winner must be available to attend a workshop at Mt. Rainier National Park, September 9-12, 2009.

This contest is open to all amateur photographers. To be considered an amateur, participants must earn less than 50% of their annual income from photography.

Please read the following rules carefully! Your entry will be disqualified if you do not follow these rules.

WHAT: We are looking for striking images of nature, or creatures on land and life beneath the water’s surface from anywhere in the world. These images may show animal behavior, portraits of wildlife in natural habitat, plant life, natural landscapes, weather or people interacting with nature. Essentially, any image that depicts nature in the opinion of the photographer is eligible.

While we are not offended by it, we cannot accept photos that contain any nudity. Winners will be selected based on several criteria including, originality, theme, technical & artistic details, story, and visual impact.

HOW: Each participant may submit one photograph in total. All images must be digitally uploaded through our Flickr page at: http://www.flickr.com/groups/anpw/

Images should be 1024 pixels on the longest side at 72PPI.

WHO: You must be a US resident and an amateur photographer and at least 18 years of age. Employees (and their families) of Bourne Media Group, Apple and our sponsors are not eligible. Your entry to the contest constitutes your agreement to allow your photographs — and your name, occupation, city and state of residence — to be published as selected award winners in all marketing materials related to the workshop and to be published or used on websites owned or operated by Bourne Media Group, Apple and all vendor sponsors of the contest; and used for promotions of the workshop including, but not limited to, exhibitions, a photo contest calendar, a compilation book or electronic collection of photographs, online photo features and contests, and web pages providing information, updates, rules and photography tips. Entrants retain Copyright ownership and all other rights to future use of their photographs. Bourne Media Group shall have the right to verify, in their sole judgment, winner eligibility.

These workshops will require participants to negotiate mild hiking trails and outdoor off-trail conditions. Entrants must be in sufficient health to negotiate such trails without assistance from any other workshop participants and without the aide of motorized wheelchairs or other similar devices.
